Keynote 2: Building the Future: Collaboration and Innovation of Telecoms in a Transforming World

In a time of rapid change, collaboration is more crucial than ever, and ETIS stands as a unique platform fostering knowledge exchange and cooperation among European telecom professionals. As pillars of the digital ecosystem, telcos are vital to society and central to Europe's competitiveness. Ensuring network resilience is not just a priority but an imperative, particularly in today’s complex geopolitical landscape. AI offers unprecedented opportunities to enhance efficiency, optimize costs, and elevate user experiences. At the same time, diversification is key to unlocking new revenue streams and driving growth.

Keynote 3: Telco Innovation: Scaling AI and Ecosystems to Drive New Growth

This keynote explores how Proximus strategically leverages AI at scale to transform multiple facets of telecom operations. It highlights Proximus ADA a center of excellence for AI and Cyber security, the advanced AI initiatives, showcasing how AI enhances customer experiences, operational efficiency, product development, and innovation. Additionally, the discussion covers the approach to scaling ecosystems by targeting the consumer market through integrated applications and digital platforms and addressing business customers through software-driven solutions and "as-a-service" models. The presentation also addresses the balance of these transformations with legacy management to ensure operational stability and security in a dynamic telecom environment.

Keynote 4: How to Thrive in Unthinkable Times: Change Your RULEs

We are continually assaulted with a barrage of news and distracting and disturbing messages. War, security threats, pandemics, geo-politics, tariffs, organisational changes, AI, climate change, and more. Scenarios and actions that we previously called "unthinkable" are becoming real. How can we, as people and in business, adjust, adapt and succeed faster? This presentation will share insights from the Unthinkable initiative on facing change in Europe, and outline actionable approaches for us, the humans in the mix: how to change our own RULEs for success.

Keynote 5: Secure, Aware, Resilient: Driving a Strong Security Culture

In an increasingly digital world shaped by artificial intelligence, a resilient security culture is no longer a “nice to have” – it’s a critical success factor. This keynote explores how resilient work organizations are becoming the foundation for emerging technologies like AI and for the digital transformation – particularly within the telecommunications sector.

A key highlight: insights into the latest work of the Security Awareness Working Group and the presentation of our new paper “Resilience and Security Culture”. The focus is on practical strategies to strengthen security awareness and build a culture of resilience that empowers organizations to meet the challenges of the digital age.

Discover how collective expertise is driving the next generation of security awareness practices – hands-on, forward-thinking, and with a clear focus on responsible use of AI and beyond.

Keynote 6: ETIS Telco Security Landscape 2025

Last year’s Telco Security Landscape was impacted by rising geopolitical tensions. The situation has only worsened, and challenges European countries to an extent few had foreseen. It seems clear that European nations will need to increase defence and security investments. This landscape report is based on the input, deliberations and consensus of the ET-ISAC members. While much of the knowledge sharing within the ET-ISAC is trust-based and confidential, we choose to make this summary public, as food for thought and a call for attention to the highlighted topics among a wider audience. The Landscape is accessible via this link.

Keynote 7: TeBIT 2024 Benchmark report - AI Makes Telcos Smart. But Are Telcos Smart About AI?

Ask a telecom company the big questions—how do you spark growth, boost efficiency, or improve customer satisfaction—and chances are, AI is their go-to answer. And increasingly, artificial intelligence, including generative AI (GenAI), has become telcos’ answer to other questions. That’s the beauty of AI: It’s a multi-purpose enabler.

But are telcos truly poised to unleash the technology? Are they making the investments, developing the strategies, and reaching the maturity levels that will let them take AI in new directions? Findings from this year’s telco IT benchmark ( TeBIT ) study, jointly developed by ETIS —The Community for Telecom Professionals—and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), raise concerns that operators may not be realizing, or be poised to realize, the full value of AI and GenAI.
