GROUP DESCRIPTION

The ETIS Network, IT & Cloud Transformation Working Group is a trusted peer community of CTOs, transformation managers, cloud specialists, and senior technical leaders from European telecom operators and key technology partners.

The group offers a confidential environment to exchange technical strategies, transformation experiences, and operational best practices in evolving telecom networks, IT systems, and cloud platforms. Members collaborate on designing resilient, future-ready architectures, leveraging AI and automation, and enabling innovative services through next-generation network, IT, and cloud capabilities.

KEY FOCUS AREAS IN 2025-2026:

• Network & IT Transformation Strategy: Modernizing both core and access networks, OSS/BSS systems, and IT infrastructures with virtualized, agile, and software-defined approaches—informed by themes of AI, resilience, and new market entry from ETIS Gathering 2025.
  
  

• Cloud Transformation Journey & Sovereign Cloud: Advancing cloud-native architectures, migrating to public/hybrid models, and establishing sovereign cloud ecosystems and cloud governance tailored for telecom-specific needs.
  
  

• AI in Network & Cloud Operations: Deploying AI and OpenAI across network operations, IT systems, and cloud environments to drive automation, service innovation, and operational efficiency.
  
  

• Edge & Enterprise Connectivity: Evaluating Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) and 5G enterprise use cases, solutions, deployment models, and monetization strategies.
  
  

• Automation, APIs & DevOps Enablement: Implementing network and cloud automation, exposing APIs to build developer ecosystems, and embracing CI/CD and DevOps for streamlined operations.
  
  

• IT & Data Governance: Designing governance frameworks for data, IT, and network systems focused on compliance, interoperability, and strategic control.
  
  

• Cloud Privacy & Security: Managing security, compliance, and privacy risks in cloud environments, including data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.
  
  

• Resilience & Disaster Recovery: Crafting robust disaster recovery and continuity strategies for networks and infrastructure to prepare for disruptions—including those with geopolitical or rapid market shift dimensions.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE:

The group welcomes professionals with operational or strategic responsibilities for telecom network evolution, IT transformation, and cloud strategy within telecom organizations and key technology partners. Typical roles include:

• 2 In-Person Meetings per Year: Held every year during the ETIS Gathering and on request in Q4, offering deep-dive discussions, technical showcases, and focused networking in a trusted environment.
  
  
• 4–6 Online Activities per Year: Virtual events (webinars, roundtables, knowledge exchanges) based on member demand:
  • Peer-Led Sessions: Sharing transformation stories, insights, and learnings.
  • Expert Talks: Guest speakers on emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Benchmarks & Surveys: Collect data to track industry challenges, adoption patterns, and best practices.

PARTICIPATING COMPANIES:

Includes leading European telecom operators, technology vendors, and partners actively engaged in network modernization, IT transformation, and cloud adoption.
