GROUP DESCRIPTION

 

Exchange best practices and challenges related to business continuity, resilience, and crisis management. As a result of climate change, we are seeing natural disasters from extreme flooding to forest fires destroying Telco infrastructure across Europe. With predictions these will only increase and in some cases become the new norm. The threat landscape is changing, forcing also Business Continuity professionals to adapt their focus. These global threats demand for a new or adapted plans, crisis management and crisis communication.  

 

KEY FOCUS AREAS IN 2025-2026:

  • Crisis management and crisis communication approach and tools,
  • Debates on potential shortage on energy supply for gas and electricity are reviving and require adapted plans,
  • Testing approach, embedding disaster recovery and business continuity testing in the DNA of the organization.

HOW WE WORK:

  • 2 In-Person Meetings per Year: Held every year during the ETIS Gathering and on request in Q1, offering deep-dive discussions and focused networking in a trusted environment.
  • The next physical meeting of this Working Group will take place in Croatia, 29-30 January 2026, hosted by A1 Croatia. 
  • 4–6 Online Activities per Year: Virtual events (webinars, roundtables, knowledge exchanges) based on member demand:
    • Peer-Led Sessions:
    • Expert Talks.
    • Benchmarks & Surveys

 

PARTICIPATING COMPANIES:

Includes leading European telecom operators, technology vendors, and partners actively engaged in BCM and disaster recovery efforts.(Full member list available upon request or via ETIS member portal.)

 

GROUP COORDINATOR:

The ETIS Business Continuity Working Group is coordinated by Andrija Višić, who facilitates all activities, drives member engagement, and ensures seamless collaboration.
