Travel tips
- Increase traffic on the highways around Dusseldorf is expected, due to a major fair taking place at the same time in the city
- Main Cologne train station is closed during the time of our meeting (see DB news for more info)
Venue details:
- The meeting will take place on the 18th Floor called the ‘Sky Lounge’, of the Vodafone Tower (full address). Two separate meeting spaces will be arranged.
- Upon arriving to the Tower’s main entrance (see image attached), you can pick up your access pass at the reception and then head straight to 18th floor
- An additional name tag, provided by ETIS, will be waiting for you there
- Coffee breaks will also take place there, while for lunch we will be going as a group to the Vodafone Cantine, both days, where you can select your meal and at the cash register just mention ETIS and your name, to pass
Coming by car? Parking details:
- The entry into the parking spot is on the Willstätterstraße, 40549 Düsseldorf, next to the Vodafone Tower (also has electric chargers)
- Images (shared via email) will help you find it. Upon arrival to the ramp, ring the bell and mention you are guest for the ETIS conference (it is possible to leave the car overnight)
Don’t miss dinner! Social programme:
- Informal part: dinner on 19th Nov, 19:30 (see details in the programme) is at-your-own-expense
- Formal part are the walking tour (provided by our dear hosts) (see details in the programme) and the fully sponsored dinner at Wilma Wunder, both on 20th November. The buffet menu that we can expect at the restaurant is attached.
Sharing is caring! For presenters:
- If you plan to show slides during the event, you can do that from your laptop (HDMI and USB-C connection provided)
- After the event, presenters can let me know if we can upload their slides onto our members-only sharing platform
Other:
- Dress code is business casual
- Wifi will be provided on the spot, as will sockets to plug in your laptops
- For local transport, you can use (only Android links) Rheinbahn app or VRS eezy.nrw app to purchase train or other transport tickets (or use machines at certain stations)
- We will take a joint photo on day 2, right after the joint session
- For telco-only Mattermost users: a comms channel has been created to chat during the conference
