Enterprise Architecture WG Summary – Hosted by OTE in Athens

Last week, on 16 and 17 April, the ETIS Enterprise Architecture working group held its first meeting of the year in Athens, Greece kindly hosted by OTE. This meeting was attended by 18 people from 12 companies, namely, CYTA, Detecon, Deutsche Telekom, Lattelecom, OTE, Swisscom, Telecom Italia, Telekom Romania, Telenor, T-Mobile Netherlands, Turkcell and IST as a guest speaker.
George Apostolopoulos initiated the first day with an introductory speech, welcomed all participants to Athens and to OTE premises, provided an overview of the OTE Group followed by a presentation about IT in the OTE Group. The main themes taken on by the group during this meeting focused on a 360 degree view of the customer, CRM, Product Catalogue, Self-Service e-Shop, Transformation Projects including IT systems replacement, Data Governance Practices, Product Life-cycle Management and Business Innovation and EA.
Andrea Ferroni expressed his intention not to continue as a Chairman of this working group after two years of service. All the participants thanked Andrea and expressed a great deal of appreciation for his work. Thomas Krueger from The Boston Consulting Group was elected as a new ETIS Enterprise Architecture Working Group Chair for a period of one year.
