ETIS Community Gathering 2018

The 2018 ETIS Community Gathering, which takes place in Lisbon, Portugal from the 18th to 19th of October, will focus on how operators can go beyond connectivity and pursue digital services in which they have a competitive advantage. Some of the hot topics that will be discussed this year include blockchain, artificial intelligence, IoT, fintech, NFV & SDN, data privacy and security, to name a few.
As the premier gathering of European telecom professionals, this two-day event presents an invaluable networking and knowledge sharing opportunity for all of ETIS' Members, Associates and Partners.

Meetings are designed to be interactive with tangible, concrete takeaways and solutions derived from workshops and roundtable discussions. Partnerships and other collaborations are discussed and participants gain deeper insight into trends, discuss challenges and share best practices with their peers across Europe. Learn more here.

The Gathering will be kicked-off by a Common Session featuring ETIS Chairman Paul Slot and renowned keynote speakers including Malcolm Frank, who is Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Cognizant. He is also co-author of the book, What to Do When Machines Do Everything: How to Get Ahead in a World of AI, Algorithms, Bots, and Big Data. Beyond his practical vision of AI and experience as a founder and CEO of three business ventures, Malcolm’s expertise lies in his ability to advise on how to gain business advantages from large-scale digital transformation programs.

Other influential opinion leaders will join working group sessions and focus on deep dives into their areas of expertise. What are the current challenges being faced? Finally, the local innovation scene will be featured both during a start-up session as well as during working group sessions of relevance. We’ve worked hard to identify companies working on solutions that can add real value to the sessions and the telecom sector in general.
