Goal: Each company is allocated 3 minutes to present recent challenges, threats, incidents, projects, and future plans. Also delivering expectations from this 2-day meeting. New members in the group receive a longer time slot.

The focus should (also)be on how you work with your high-level executives when it comes to sec. awareness raising.

Format & Goal: Workshop in 3 breakout groups (room, lobby & ground floor), each of which will produce points to go into a “suggestion paper” of measures to be implemented by telco cyber security / defence departments.

 

Theme: ”What factors impact telco cyber resiliency the most?”

 

BREAKOUT GROUP 1: Motivation and attitude of Executive Level colleagues in telecoms towards Security Awareness, Training & Culture.

  • How much space, budget, resources and time is given to the topic? What goals do they have in this area – and what goals CISOs have?

BREAKOUT GROUP 2: What role does psychological safety play in the consideration of cyber security in organisations? Also, how to facilitate critical thinking.

BREAKOUT GROUP 3: Motivation and attitude of employees towards Security Awareness, Training & Culture.

  • How to effectively reach employees – the discussion will focus on the level of engagement employees demonstrate in security initiatives, the effectiveness of current training programs, and how security awareness is perceived across different roles and responsibilities.

Goal: The group will receive responses to the survey all participants were invited to fill in (QR code in the booklet), in addition to the subsequent oral feedback on the presentation given during the Day 1 Common Session.

 

Roundtable: all members discussing the feedback, reacting and proposing steps forward regarding activities of the SAWG.

How should telecoms localize security awareness programs across multilingual and multicultural European workforces?

  • Tackle fragmentation in language, culture, digital maturity, and regional threat landscapes.

In what ways are AI and automation changing the way we deliver, personalize, and scale awareness efforts?

  • Discuss adaptive learning, AI-based simulations, and real-time risk scoring.

What does a truly “mature” security culture look like — and how do we sustain it in an era of burnout, remote work, and insider threats?

  • Focus on continuous engagement, ambassador networks, gamification, and leadership modeling behavior

 

What could members bring?

  • Short Demos or Videos, Interactive Polls or Slido Questions, Benchmarking Data or Case Studies

Closing Session

A short session dedicated to follow-ups and discussing topics that arose during the meeting’s discussions. Participants will brainstorm and compile a list of future topics for consideration in upcoming ETIS events.

Event Context and Expectations

This workshop is a collaborative knowledge-sharing event, where success relies on active preparation and engagement from all participants.

  • Participants are invited to prepare a 15-20 min presentation relevant to one of the main sessions (ideally addressing one or more of the suggested topics within that session).
  • Topic selection confirmation with the organizer by May 5th and final presentation submission by May 28th.
  • Meeting is held under Chatham House Rules, following ETIS confidentiality and anti-trust policy.
