Session 3: "Security Governance Setup in Newly Merged Telcos"
Goal: The goal of this session is to enable Telco CISOs to learn from real-world experiences with security governance models implemented in newly merged telecom companies across Europe. Participants will gain practical insights into challenges, best practices, and lessons learned to help strengthen governance structures in their own organizations following mergers and acquisitions.

Session 6: ”From Threat Intelligence to Survival Mode: Strengthening Cyber & Physical Resilience of European Telecom Networks Against State-Level Attacks”
Theme: This session will focus on practical preparation for large-scale cyber attacks and physical sabotage linked to state actors, with emphasis on crisis readiness, infrastructure hardening against disruption, and ensuring network equipment availability under geopolitical pressure.

Session 7: ”Digital Omnibus and Similar Regulations Changes”
Theme: How the Digital Omnibus simplifies and consolidates cybersecurity, data protection, and platform compliance obligations across frameworks like NIS2, GDPR, and the Digital Services Act, and what this means for reducing duplicated audits and reporting. They should also discuss how the Omnibus may change risk management, incident-response timelines, and accountability for critical infrastructure operators, including potential shifts in liability and enforcement expectations.

Closing Session: Future Topics + Evaluation Form
We start a roundtable so participants can propose topics for our next meeting and brainstorm and compile a list for consideration in upcoming ETIS events.
Participants are asked to fill in a simple satisfaction survey provided by ETIS and sent via email.
Event Context and Expectations
This workshop is a collaborative knowledge-sharing event, where success relies on active preparation and engagement from all participants.
- Participants are invited to prepare a 15-20 min presentation relevant to one of the main sessions (ideally addressing one or more of the suggested topics within that session).
- Topic selection confirmation with the organizer by middle of January and final presentation submission by end of January 2026.
- Meeting is held under Chatham House Rules, following ETIS confidentiality and anti-trust policy.
Event Sponsorship and Participation
This event is hosted and sponsored by Google, and organised by ETIS Central Office. Lunch & coffee breaks are free of charge, as is the social activity after day 1, including dinner on day 1. Participation is free of charge.
Participation is open to ETIS member companies (and guests with special invites), and attendees are expected to actively contribute to discussions and presentations.
