Description

The presentation will show in detail the cybersec (NT/IT and other) measures defined by the national regulation and accompanied by a check list of control mechanisms and accompanied calculator for securing compliance primarily in the field of self-assessment.

Goal: European telcos and suppliers showcasing the most recent uses of AI tools in cybersecurity.

Presentation 1: “AI for Cyber Defense + Evolution towards Autonomous Security Operations”, Tom Curry, Google, 20’ + Q&A

Description
Presentation will consist of showing a range of use-cases for AI in cyber defense, including real examples of what is possible today, as well as a more forward-looking view towards semi-autonomous and eventually autonomous security operations, based on increasing sophistication of agentic AI.

 

Presentation 2: “Title tbc” Marc Scheidegger, Swisscom, 20’ + Q&A

Description

“Based on experience from DevSecOps, Swisscom is currently analyzing the security capabilities required in the context of MLSecOps. The presentation is about the results of Swisscom PoC with multiple solutions to continuously security testing an LLM based chat bot. Swisscom is also collaborating on this topic with students from EPFL, the technical university in Lausanne, and can give some insights on the work we do in this area as well.

Format & Goal: Workshop in 3 breakout groups (room, lobby & ground floor), each of which will produce points to go into a “suggestion paper” of measures to be implemented by telco cyber security / defence departments.

 

Theme: ”What factors impact telco cyber resiliency the most?”

 

BREAKOUT GROUP 1: Motivation and attitude of Executive Level colleagues in telecoms towards Security Awareness, Training & Culture.

  • How much space, budget, resources and time is given to the topic? What goals do they have in this area – and what goals CISOs have?

BREAKOUT GROUP 2: What role does psychological safety play in the consideration of cyber security in organisations? Also, how to facilitate critical thinking.

This workshop is a collaborative knowledge-sharing event, where success relies on active preparation and engagement from all participants.

  • Participants are invited to prepare a 15-20 min presentation relevant to one of the main sessions (ideally addressing one or more of the suggested topics within that session).
  • Topic selection confirmation with the organizer by May 5th and final presentation submission by May 28th.
  • Meeting is held under Chatham House Rules, following ETIS confidentiality and anti-trust policy.
