Building on the momentum from the recent ETIS Gathering 2025 in Athens, the Energy Working Group invites members to a virtual session focused on advancing our shared priorities in energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.
This interactive session will provide an opportunity to exchange insights, discuss current challenges, and shape the group’s agenda for the months ahead. Guided by input from our recent survey, we will explore topics such as:
-
24/7 Carbon-Free Energy (CFE): Strategies to implement 24/7 renewable energy through PPAs, BESS, and new energy technologies.
-
Energy Efficiency & Optimization: Pilots on renewable integration, power usage monitoring, data analytics, and cost management.
-
Resilience & Reliability: Learnings from energy shutdown events, enhancing continuity at RAN sites, and evolving data centre efficiency models.
-
Emerging Technologies: Remote energy sensors, IoT integration, VPP implementations, and 5G-enabled microgrids.
-
Smart Collaboration Models: Exploring new partnerships across the energy ecosystem, from digital twins to energy-as-a-service and joint smart city projects.
The Energy Virtual Gathering will also provide space for members to share their department’s H2 2025 priorities and propose topics or best practices they would like to present.
Together, we aim to strengthen collaboration and accelerate progress towards smarter, greener, and more resilient energy systems in telecoms.
