ETIS ISWG Members meet at the iconic BT Tower to share knowledge on Information Security

The second ETIS Information Security Working Group meeting of the year was recently held in London, kindly hosted by BT on June 16 & 17. This event has seen a great attendance of 35 participants representing the following 22 companies and organisations: Proximus, BT, NOS, MANX, KPN, Telefonica, BICS, Telia Company, Magyar Telekom, A1, TDC, Swisscom, Telenor Norway, Vodafone, Oger Telecom, ITU, Oracle, Huawei, ENISA, Ericsson, TNO and Praesidium.
As always, the key objective of this meeting was to bring Telco security professionals together in order to share knowledge, best practices and to discuss common challenges. During the first day, the presentations included topics such as Supplier Security Management, Shadow IT Security, Internal Security Awareness, ITU Security Study Group 17 Update and Security Telco Roadmap. The day concluded with a Telco only session.
The presentations during the second day focused on SDN/NFV Introduction, Security Risks and Best Practices, Telco’s view on SDN/NFV Security, Cloud Computing Security Policy, Supply Chain Risks, Discussion Session, ENISA Update and ETIS Projects Update.
The next ETIS Information Security Working Group meeting will take place on 13 & 14 October in Zagreb in conjunction with the ETIS Community Gathering 2016. For more information on ETIS activities, ISWG and membership, please contact us.
