Last month, the ETIS Enterprise Architecture working group held its first meeting of the year in Istanbul, Turkey, kindly hosted by Turkcell. The meeting was attended by 25 participants representing 10 companies including Turkcell, Turk Telekom, Swisscom, Deutsche Telekom/Detecon, Croatian Telekom, The Boston Consulting Group, Ericsson, Huawei, Oracle and Wipro, who attended as a guest.
The main topics addressed by the group during the meeting focused on transformations & simplification, SDN / NFV, data management & quality, service delivery & management, and Cloud.
Despite the packed agenda, the group spent significant time discussing best practices and lessons learned, but also future opportunities and challenges. As part of the latter, Ignacio Mas from Ericsson, for example, shared an outlook on 'Future programmable Network architectures'.
ETIS would like to thank Turkcell for hosting the meeting and their great hospitality. A special thank you goes to Nagihan Tulu Tarimci and Cemile Kaya for preparing and organizing the meeting as well as the traditional Thursday dinner.
The next ETIS Enterprise Architecture working group meeting will take place on 13-14 October 2016 in conjunction with the ETIS Community Gathering 2016 in Zagreb, Croatia.
