Frank Bunn, Symantec’s Senior Manager for Communication Service Providers, described why they have decided to become part of the ETIS community: “ETIS is the ideal community for Symantec to constantly engage with the European Communication Service Providers industry. With all the valuable working groups, ETIS provides an excellent platform to share experiences and best practices in an open, non-competitive environment and also gain early first-hand insights into upcoming challenges of the entire Telco ecosystem.”
Information Security has been one of the most active areas for ETIS in recent years with three out of ten Working groups dedicated to Security issues. Fred Werner, Communications & Programme Director for ETIS, had the following to say about Symantec’s new Associate Membership: "After participating as a guest in our Cyber Security Workshop earlier this year; ETIS was impressed with Symantec’s willingness to share its technical expertise to help our members combat cyber security threats. ETIS looks forward to welcoming our newest Associate Member and the added value and know-how they will bring to the security area.”
