As during previous meetings, the main goal was to discuss how to reduce spam levels on the Telcos networks and how to deal with the latest threats. Additionally, the group exchanged information and views on feedback loops, Phishing, mobile spam, and compromised accounts. The meeting also focused on the progress and experiences of the ETIS – Return Path Feedback Loop project.
Furthermore, ETIS would like to take this opportunity to thank Sergio Formicola from Telecom Italia for his excellent job as Chairman of the group during the past four years. The group elected Helge Aksdal and Vegard Asmul from Telenor to co-chair the group and chose Frank Lindberg from TDC and Mathieu Girol from France Telecom to act as the new Vice-Chairs.
The next meeting will be hosted by France Telecom in Paris between February 28 and March 1, 2013, so please already put these dates in your calendars.
