TeBIT Benchmarking Survey

Each year ETIS carries out a Telco IT Benchmarking Study, called TeBIT. Not only does the survey allow members to compare their own effectiveness and efficiency with others, it also provides an opportunity for the exchange of information, ideas, the latest information about business drivers and strategies of companies in the telecommunications industries. It allows participants to do so in a confidential way, confident that their information is shared only by participants.

TeBIT gives quantitative benchmarking data about IT performance in member companies, for comparison and self assessment, and also qualitative data about business issue

The study provides Financial and Quantitative data on:

  • Revenue per customer and revenue per employee
  • Expenditure and IT expenditure per customer
  • Ratio of IT expenditure to company expenditure
  • IT opex and IT capex as a percentage of revenue
  • IT expenditure per employee
  • Main sources of revenue
  • Ratio of IT cost for run – grow – transform

The study also provides company information about governance model and structure, particularly as it applies to IT. There is also useful information on topics such as ‘Main Business Drivers’, ‘Measuring IT Value to the Business’ and ‘KPIs to measure IT performance’. Experience with Outsourcing is also covered by the survey to allow us to deepen our knowledge of recent experiences with focus on ‘Percentage of process Outsourced’ and reasons for (dis)satisfaction with Outsourcing.

Why take part in TeBIT?

  • It can save tens of 1000s euros in fees for expensive consultants.
  • It is unique because the information comes from reliable experts within Telcos.
  • ETIS can be trusted, so business exposure is reduced.
  • It enables internal use or Benchmarking against others.
