Enterprise Architecture

All telecommunications companies have similar challenges, they have to deal with increasing complexity in business and reduce costs, whilst improving time to market. They must already co-operate in the provision of service to customers, and they can co-operate in the development of utility.

The objective of the Enterprise Architecture group is to identify and share best practice in the development and use of Enterprise Architecture techniques in the support of the telco industry.
Liaison with ICT standards bodies, appropriate government institutions, suppliers and other telco organisations can help to ensure that standards are developed and applied in products, enabling integration and rationalisation. ETIS works together with other industry bodies such as TMForum, OMG, The Open Group and ETSI in the development and harmonization of work in architectures, related to telecommunications.

The group has been particularly active in the areas of Service Oriented Architectures, in Applications Rationalisation, Business Process Management and sharing best practice in Enterprise Architecture.
