Information Security

The Information Security Working Group was established in 2004. The role of the group is to share knowledge and experiences among members concerning Information Security and related matters and when relevant provide requirements to the industry. The group is the only Information Security group to concentrate on the telecom market.

The topics that are being studied and addressed are:

  • Cultural aspects of the Information Security
  • Governance models
  • Information security as a business enabler
  • The threat of terrorism from a Telco's perspective
  • Security across borders
  • Financial losses due to security breaches
  • Security standards, information insurance
  • Network security
  • Outsourcing related to security aspects
  • Identity and Access management
  • An Anti-SPAM Co-operation Group has been established
